Inter Faith Eisteddfod 2009
The Inter Faith Eisteddfod was an evening that saught people from different faith communities in South Wales to contribute artistic performances in the spirit of creating connections and friendships, engaging people from different faiths with each other through the empowering and exciting expression of the arts.
The theme was 'Storytelling', and it was purposefully very broad. It encompassed telling stories from different faiths, stories of inspirational people of faith, spiritual stories, the story of a particular art form practiced by a faith community and so on. The aim was to contribute positively towards building a strong, diverse and united community in Wales, celebrating our community as being made up of all different ways of life as we find common ground and learn more about each other.
In regards to Interfaith activities, this festival was the first of its kind in Wales.
